The Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) Hydrogen R&D Funding Round is now open for Expressions of Interest.
The Hydrogen R&D Funding Round aims to:
- Accelerate the commercialisation of renewable hydrogen through innovative R&D in hydrogen production, storage and distribution technologies
- Build academic research capacity and facilitate collaboration between research groups and industry.
Up to $25M will be distributed across two streams:
- Hydrogen and Hydrogen Vector Production – innovative production systems that could feasibly serve a significant addressable market at commercial scale.
- Hydrogen Storage and Distribution – advancing technologies for efficient, low cost and safe storage and distribution of hydrogen.
Australian industry, universities and research organisations are eligible for the program.
Expressions of Interest are due by 5pm 1 June 2023.
