Applications are now open for 2024 JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowships for Australian researchers to work in institutes affiliated with JSPS, closing 15 January 2024.
Fellowships are awarded for a period of 12 – 24 months and provide a round-trip air fare, a monthly maintenance allowance, a settling-in allowance and overseas travel insurance.
Candidates must be Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents, or a New Zealand citizen with a Special Category visa (subclass 444) and must be living in Australia at the time of application.
Host researchers can apply locally for a Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research to cover co-operative research-related expenses.
Applicants can work in any field of life sciences, physical sciences, engineering, technology or medicine.
Highly desirable fields of research include medical science, renewables, low-emissions technologies and enabling capabilities such as AI, robotics and quantum computing.
