AINSE Postgraduate Research Awards – Read more 

  • stipend of $8,250 per annum plus travel and accommodation allowances
  • student must be enrolled at an AINSE Member Institution and receiving an RTP award (or equivalent)
  • research project in one of archaeology, geosciences and environmental sciences, biotechnology and biomedical sciences or materials science and engineering

  • stipend of $8,250 per annum plus travel and accommodation allowances
  • student must be enrolled at an AINSE Member Institution and receiving an RTP award (or equivalent)
  • student must be onsite at an ANSTO facility (at Lucas Heights and/or Clayton) for an average of six months per year or more, which can be as a single block of time or as separate visitations
  • research topic must closely align with ANSTO’s resarch programs: The Environment; Human Health; The Nuclear Fuel Cycle; Defence and Space Industries; Fusion
  • opportunities may also exist for postgraduate students interested in contracted research and industrial engagement projects in the defence industry area, and for postgraduate students interested in fusion research that aligns with ANSTO and ITER activities

Scholarship AINSE ANSTO French Embassies (SAAFE) Research Internship Read more

  • supports ECRs to expand research and innovation activities in nuclear science and engineering within the areas of Health, Environment and Nuclear Technologies, and to initiate sustainable research networks and linkages to support Australia, New Zealand and France in research and innovation.
  • costs towards a return flight and up to AUD$200 per week for up to 26 weeks to support accommodation with a visit from Australia or New Zealand to France; or from France to Australia
  • must be a PhD student or hold a postdoctoral appointment at an AINSE-member or a French university
  • research project must be in collaboration with at least one researcher employed by ANSTO or another Australian AINSE-member institution and at least one researcher employed by a French university or research institution
  • the internship visit must take place over 8 to 26 weeks between October 2024 and December 2025
  • applications close 1 July 2024

 

AINSE Pathway ScholarshipsRead more

  • $5,000 stipend (1 year)
  • students enrolled in any Honours or Masters program for some period between 1 January 2024 and 31 March 2024 at an AINSE Member Institution
  • applications close 15 March 2024
