DARPA Defense Sciences Office is seeking submissions of innovative basic or applied research concepts in the technical domain of novel approaches to scalable preparation, control and error mitigation of quantum circuits of relevance to quantum-enhanced computing, sensing, and information processing.
DARPA is interested in
- Scalable state preparation, stabilization, and control of quantum states of utility to
quantum computing architectures or quantum-enhanced sensors - New forms of autonomous error correction that may require substantially lower
overhead for fault tolerant performance, and - Novel encoding schemes that may prove more resilient to common forms of
decoherence or errors
The project will consist of 2 phases (Feasibility Study & optional Proof of Concept), each of 12 months duration and a maximum value of USD$500,000.
This solicitation is made as part of the 2023 Disruptioneering Program (DARPA-PA-23-03).
Proposals are due 30 October 2023.
