DARPA’s Biological Technologies Office is seeking proposals to create generalisable and comprehensive computational simulations to predict the behaviour of individual Escherichia coli. Simulation software will also be tailored to forecast bacteria function in various user-defined scenarios.
SMS also seeks innovative experimental workflows to measure E coli to generate data to parmeterise and validate simulation software. Innovations to simulate and measure E coli will will inform one another and accelerate progress towards the ultimate goal – a generalisable and comprehensive simulation software platform to predict E coli behaviour.
DARPA plans to fund multiple projects of 18 months duration which will interact as part of the overall program.
