UK Defence and Security Accelerator is seeking proposals for the development of a complete Autonomous Security Alarm and Interdiction Network (ASAIN).  This will involve the integration of multiple technologies and systems on to a single platform. After a 6-month period of development successful suppliers will move on to stage 2 and evaluate the capabilities of their systems over a period of 12 months at a UK Nuclear Decommissioning Authority sites.

Proposers do not need to have been involved in Phase 1 of the competition.

3 – 5 projects will be funded to a maximum of £500,000 for up to 18 months.

DASA are interested in innovative capabilities to provide a viable security system that replaces high security systems traditionally used to protect high security areas.  The ASAIN must be easy to deploy and operate. It will be able to be integrated with other digital technologies, and should be autonomous. Crucially, it must have an override functionality to allow an operator to control all system assets safely and at will.

DASA will facilitate the exploration of collaboration possibilities for those who are interested via collaboration surveys and an in-person event in January in Southhampton UK.

15 minute one-to-one Q&A teleconference sessions will be held 24 January 2024Register here.

Proposals are due 5 March 2024.
