The ITOPF R&D Award provides support for projects which have the potential to lead to improvements in our knowledge and understanding of issues related to accidental marine pollution from ships, such as spill preparedness and response, techniques for monitoring, clean-up, resource protection and restoration etc.
Short-term projects – up to £60,000 for projects of 1 -2 years duration
PhD research projects – up to £40,000 plus student stipend and tuition/university fee contribution
