Applications are now open for the Nature / Merck Spinoff Prize.
With €30,000 prize money, the award recognises excellence in companies that have been established to commercially exploit the results of research activity originating in a university or research institute.
The spinoff must be a legally separate entity from the originating institution, registered within the last 5 years.
Spinoffs can operate in research in life sciences or physical sciences, both of which can include digital technology approaches ie including artificial intelligence, deep learning, neuromorphic computing and quantum computing.
Applications close 31 December 2023.
