ONI – National Intelligence Postdoctoral Grants Special Round – Radicalisation, Misogyny and Young Australians

Applications are open for a special ad hoc round of the National Intelligence Postdoctoral Grant program, closing 27 September 2024.

Funding of up to $365,000 is available for projects of up to 2 years (full-time) or 4 years (part-time) to address either of the following topics:

  • From alienation to mobilisation: Risk factors for ‘self-radicalisation’ in excluded young people
  • Prevention of misogyny in young Australians: What works and why?

Applicants must

  • be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or New Zealand Special Category Visa holder
  • be within 10 years of conferral of a PhD in a relevant field (excluding career interruptions).

Successful candidates will be required to undertake the grant project as an employee of either The Australian National University or The University of Melbourne.
