Transformations are taking place in the Australian Defence sector: RICO has officially transitioned to G58 – Army Advanced Capabilities. To commemorate the start of this new phase, the Australian Army has issued a Request for Information for Army Innovation Day 2026 (AID26).
-
The Challenge: “Autonomous Mass in Littoral Warfare.” The Army is seeking scalable, affordable, and autonomous systems (TRL 4–6) to operate in coastal environments—keeping soldiers out of harm’s way.
-
Why Apply? Selected participants get direct user interaction with operators, a formal Army Technology Assessment Report, and no-cost validation against real-world requirements.
