UK Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA) – Delivering Operational Advantage via Improved Self-Sufficiency and Operational Energy Innovation

twitterlinkedin

DASA is seeking proposals for novel technologies that achieve greater self-sufficiency and operational endurance for a deployed force. These technolgies will enable defence to move away from a model of sustaining at reach (the need for logistics resupply), to a model that is designed for self-sufficiency and enhanced operational energy. This will allow a deployed force to be more resilient, agile and flexible, and in doing so will provide operational advantage through support.

Between  £50,000 and  £500,000 is available for projects of up to 13 months which deliver at TRL 3 to 6 by the end of the project.

Proposals are due 2 July 2024.

Challenges

  1. Food – Feeding the winning edge
  2. Water – Harvest and recycle water with increasing efficiency
  3. Materiel  – Reducing the support chain burden
  4. Waste – Trash into treasure
  5. Platform Power and Energy – Enduring energy
  6. Energy – Platform thermal management – keeping cool for persistent power
  7. Energy  – Deployable power and energy

An information webinar will be held 21 May 2024. Register here.
