Under the Reducing Cyber Risk Across Defence Themed Competition, DASA is seeking innovative projects that will deliver outputs at TRL 6 (technology model or prototype demonstration in a relevant environment) in three challenges:
- Digital Resilience innovative ways to strengthen digital resilience across Defence eg tools to stress test applications, systems, networks; fail safe architecture design and implementation tools
- Secure by Default – ensuring the right security primitives are built in to software and hardware eg tools supporting the development of software and/or hardware that is intrinsically Secure by Default; tools supporting the verification of Secure by Default
- Quantifying Operational Technology Risk – quantifying OT cyber risk within an operational environment or scenarios eg tools automating aspects of OT risk discovery; technology enabling analysis of OT risk data to prioritise areas of weakness; capability to remediate identified OT risks
Proposals are due 31 October 2023.
DASA expects to distribute £880,000 across up to 5 projects.
