The US Army is seeking innovative power generation and storage solutions from eligible small and large businesses across the US and allied foreign countries attending the Association of United States Army (AUSA) Annual Meeting and Expo in Washington DC in October 2026. Five cash prizes of USD$100,000 are on offer.
Registration is only possible on-site at AUSA at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Exhibit Hall A in the U.S. Army FUZE xTech Program booth # 1617 on October 12, 2026, from 11:00 AM – 3:30 PM ET and October 13, 2026, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM ET on a first come, first serve basis (dates and locations are subject to change without notice). Registrants will deliver a 60-second elevator pitch.
Up to 18 registrants will be selected to present to a panel of US Army and Department of War subject matter experts on October 13 based on their 60-second pitch. Each selected participant will conduct a timed, five (5)-minute pitch, followed by a five (5)-minute question and answer session with the judging panel. Participants may bring physical prototypes and printed materials to support their presentation. No presentation software/applications may be utilized.
Capability Sought: Interoperable Power Generation and Storage
Problem Statement: The Army requires tactical platforms and autonomous systems with low-signature power generation, storage, and distribution capabilities with open standard electrical, mechanical, and data interfaces to support energy planning and optimization during extended, distributed operations in an environment that limits resupply frequency and logistical footprints.
