The US Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) and US DoD Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD R&E) are seeking bilateral US-Australia proposals for fundamental research in directed energy, particularly in relation to the advancement of high power laser and microwave systems.
- 2-page white papers due 12 June 2023
- projects will run for three years with up to USD$150,000 per year for each PI (ie up to $900,000 per collaboration over the 3 years)
- US collaborator must be from a US academic institution or DoD laboratory
- Australian collaborator must be from an Australian academic institution
- one application per PI
