The PCRP is interested in supporting research that addresses specific gaps in prostate cancer research and clinical care. Applications are required to address one or more of the following FY22 PCRP Overarching Challenges:
  • Improve quality of life to enhance outcomes and overall health and wellness for those impacted by prostate cancer
  • Develop treatments that improve outcomes for men with lethal prostate cancer
  • Advance health equity and reduce disparities in prostate cancer
  • Define the biology of prostate cancer progression to lethal prostate cancer to reduce death
Data Science Award – W81XWH-22-PCRP-DSA – pre-apps close August 4 2022 – up to USD$1M over 3 years – Supports research where quantitative and analytical approaches, processes, and/or systems are developed and/or used to obtain knowledge and insight from large and/or complex sets of prostate cancer data.
Idea Development Award – W81XWH-22-PCRP-DSA – pre-apps close 7 July 2022 – up to USD$900,000 over 3 years – Supports new ideas that represent innovative, high- risk/high-gain approaches to prostate cancer research and have the potential to make an important contribution to one or more of the FY22 PCRP Overarching Challenges.
Health Disparity Research Award – W81XWH-22-PCRP-HDRA – pre-apps close 4 August 2022 – up to USD$900,000 over 3 years – Supports research ideas that have the potential to make an important contribution to reducing and ultimately eliminating disparities in prostate cancer incidence, morbidity, and mortality.
Translational Science Award – W81XWH-22-PCRP-TSA – pre-apps close 4 August 2022
up to USD$900,000 over 3 years – Supports advanced translational research that will foster transformation of promising ideas in prostate cancer into clinical applications, ultimately providing a solution to one or more of the FY22 PCRP Overarching Challenges.
Physician Research Award – W81XWH-22-PCRP-PRA – pre-apps close 7 July 2022 – up to USD$750,000 over 4 years – Supports a mentored research experience to prepare physicians with clinical duties for careers in prostate cancer research.
Early Investigator Research Award – W81XWH-22-PCRP-EIRA – pre-apps close 7 July 2022 – up to USD$300,000 over 2 years – must have 3 years or less of post-doc research experience – Supports research opportunities focused on prostate cancer for individuals in the early stages of their careers.
Exploration-Hypothesis Development Award – W81XWH-22-PCRP-EHDA – pre-apps close 2 June 2022 – up to USD$100,000 over 2 years – Supports the exploration of highly innovative, untested, potentially high-gain concepts, theories, paradigms, and/or methods that address an important problem relevant to one or more FY22 PCRP Overarching Challenges.
