Clinical Exploration Award – W81XWH-22-CPMRP-CEA – up to USD$250,000 over 2 years – supports proof-of-principle pilot studies, clinical trials and correlative studies with the potential to resolve current clinical barriers – must address one or both of focus areas (i) chronification of pain and effectiveness or (ii) observational studies of novel or untested techniques/approaches/pathways to chronic pain management.
Investigator-Initiated Research Award – W81XWH-22-CPMRP-IIRA – up to USD$900,000 over 4 years – supports innovative research that will make an original and important contribution to the filed of research, patient care and/or quality of life – must address on or more of focus areas (i) chronification of pain and effectiveness or (ii) observational studies of novel or untested techniques/approaches/pathways to chronic pain management or (iii) development of non-opioid therapies and methods of treatment of chronic pain.
Translational Research Award – W81XWH-22-CPMRP-TRA – up to usd$1.4M over 4 years – supports translational research that will accelerate the movement of efficacious, evidence-based ideas into clinal applications – must address on or more of focus areas (i) implementation science or (ii) comparative effectiveness or (iii) observational studies related to chronic pain.
