Nominations are now open for teams to participate in the Army Quantum Next Generation Minesweeper Challenge 2023, closing 13 October 2023. The Challenge itself will run 16 October to 24 November.
The Challenge requires teams to demonstrate how quantum magnetometers, attached to drones, can provide a solution to the problem of land mines dispersed over large areas.
Teams must have 2 – 4 members.
Team members must be current undergraduate or postgraduate students, early career researchers (up to 6 years post PhD), Defence personnel or Australian Public Service members.
An intermediate knowledge of programming and data analysis will be required. Broad skills across mathematics, physics, engineering, computer and data science are likely to bring the best success.
