Cyber Battle is a CTF event using mission-based learning where players apply their acquired cyber skills to collect “flags” within a provided virtual IT environment using a world-class, NATO-awarded cyber range.
Winners of Cyber Battle Australia can take part in the Cyber Battle Baltic-Nordic, taking place every year in Estonia and observe Australian national team participation at the NATO Locked Shields exercise.
Cyber Battle is aimed at TAFE students, but limited spaces are also available for University students and anyone interested in cyber.
- must be at least 18 years old as of 12 April 2025
- must be either a citizen or permanent resident of Australia, New Zealand or any NATO country
- no prior cyber knowledge or experience required
- competition consists of a Boot Camp (12 April 2025); virtual Qualifying Round (17 May 2025) and the Grand Final in Melbourne (5 July 2025).
- Boot Camps will be held in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney
