Defence Trade Controls Amendment Bill (2023) – Consultation

The Australian Government is seeking stakeholder views on the proposed Defence Trade Controls Amendment Bill (2023).

The Bill proposes changes including

  • the creation of 3 new criminal offences relating to the supply and provision of DSGL technology and services
  • a national exemption to to the UK and USA from  export control permit requirements under the Defence Trade Controls Act 2012.

Submissions are due by 5pm, Friday 17 November 2023.
