The Australian Space Agency is supporting NASA’s Artemis program with an Australian rover to collect samples from the Moon. As part of this, the Big Dipper Lunar Regolith Acquisition Challenge invites the public to harness the power of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) to craft a Regolith Sample Acquisition Device, a pivotal component of this lunar rover.
The Challenge is available to individuals and teams in Australia. Teams can include participants from any country, but the team leader must be an Australian citizen or resident.
Previous CAD experience is not required.
$15,000 in prize money will be distributed to up to 10 designs as part of Phase 1 of the Challenge.
