PARARI 2026, the Australian Explosive Ordnance Safety Symposium, will be held 24 – 26 November 2026, at the National Convention Centre, Canberra.

With a theme this year of Proportional Safety – From Competition to Conflict, PARARI aims to facilitate professional development, education and networking opportunities for EO safety experts and practitioners.

The theme will explore the evolving demands of explosive ordnance safety in a world where strategic competition can rapidly escalate into operational conflict. This theme invites Defence, foreign defence forces, industry and academic stakeholders to examine how explosive safety must adapt proportionally to the scale, tempo and complexity of modern warfare. From operational readiness innovation to conflict, the symposium will showcase how proportionality in explosive safety is not just a regulatory imperative, but a strategic advantage.

Abstracts for technical papers and workshops will be accepted until 5 August 2026.

Applications for sponsorship in the form of Product Briefs are also being sought.
