The United States has recently updated the Critical and Emerging Technologies List.
Two new technologies have been added to the list:
- data, privacy, data security and cybersecurity technologies
- positioning, navigation and timing technologies
while
- advanced nuclear energy technologies
- networked sensors and sensing
have been removed.
Key subfields are identified within each technology.
Adding technologies to the List does not automatically impose export controls, but may provide an indication of those which could become subject to controls in the future.
