ASD/ASC have released updated guidance for risk mitigation when developing or incorporating AI and ML into their systems organisations. The guidance is particularly pertinent for organisations that deploy or develop artificial intelligence and machine learning systems and components. This could range from entirely outsourcing an AI system where an organisation only provides the training data, to in-house AI development. When sourcing third-party AI and ML systems and components, the risks and mitigations in this guidance should inform your questions and requirements for the vendor.
