Australia is currently a Third Country Participant in Horizon Europe, the EU’s key funding program for research and innovation.
The Government is exploring becoming an Associate Member linked to clusters covering health; culture, creativity and inclusive society, civil security for society, digital, industry and space; climate, energy and mobility; food, bioeconomy, natural resources, agriculture and environment.
Associate Member countries are eligible for increased access to funding and the ability to lead projects.
The consultation is seeking to understand views, for and against, possible Association to help decision making.
