The Defence Industry Development Grants Program provides matching funding for SMEs to build Australia’s sovereign capability, global competitiveness, technical superiority and national security.
Applications are accepted at any time, with assessment occurring in batches throughout the year.
Sovereign Industrial Priorities Stream – up to $1M matching funding to purchase manufacturing plant and equipment which is used directly to develop and/or deliver programs that are in line with the Sovereign Defence Industrial Priorities (SDIP)
Skilling Stream – up to $250,000 matching funding for upskilling and training in priority trade, technical and professional skillsets to develop a workforce with the right mix of qualified and experienced personnel to meet Defence requirement. This stream is also open to Defence Industry Associations
Exports Stream – up to $250,000 matching funding to overcome export barriers and help defence industry build scale and competitiveness in defence capability priority areas
Security Stream – up to $100,000 matching funding to improve and maintain security in SDIP priority areas and in line with the Defence Industry Security Program.
